In the Yamazaki Distillery on the outskirts of Kyoto, Suntory founder Shinjiro Torii devoted himself to searching for Japan’s original whiskey flavor. Finally, in 1937, he finally found it! This is the "corner bottle".
Suntory Whiskey "Kakubo" is made from the original bourbon barrel malt liquor of Yamazaki Distillery and grain whiskey that has been matured for many years. It has a mellow aroma and a thick, round and strong aroma. Characteristics of the "horned bottle".
The "corner bottle" is based on the traditional turtle shell pattern that symbolizes longevity and fortune. The bottle body is carved using traditional Japanese "Kiriko glass" craftsmanship, and the entire design is full of oriental charm. "Horn" represents the four directions, and "bottle" represents the wine bottle. The name "Kakubo" has now become synonymous with whiskey in Japan.
The unique taste and exquisite texture of the "corner bottle" are becoming popular in Asian countries such as South Korea, Singapore, and Thailand.
