This Togouchi whiskey is brewed by Sakurao SAKURAO distillery in Hiroshima Prefecture. It is located in the heart of Japan's West China Mountains, adjacent to the national scenic spot "Sandankyo" . A 387-meter-long tunnel remains in Tokawachi, Ota Town, Anyun. This tunnel was built during the national railway era and was originally used for railways. The interior of the tunnel maintains a constant temperature of 14 degrees and a humidity of 80% throughout the year. This environment is very suitable for storing alcohol, so it was acquired by Sakurao SAKURAO Distillation Co. and became the "Togouchi Storage House". Togouchi whiskey was born under such conditions.
An 18-year-old version of this whiskey was launched in the past, but all have been sold out. Among whiskey lovers, it is considered a rare and prized drink.
Togouchi Whiskey, which has been matured for at least 8 years in Togouchi storage warehouses, has a spicy that evokes the image of fresh green, a grain spirit with a citrus aroma, and just the right amount of peat, vanilla and A blend of malt whiskeys with a soft, chocolatey sweetness.
This whiskey is characterized by its minerality and grassy aroma, which brings a refreshing and clean taste.
